우리는 바다를 사랑합니다.
우리는 바다를 보며 자연의 위대함을 알고 겸손함을 배웁니다.
우리는 여름이면바다로 나아가 서핑을 즐깁니다.
우리는 이 아름다운 바다를 잘 보존하여 다음 세대에게
전달해야할 의무가 있습니다.

We love the sea.
Looking at the sea, we know the
greatness of nature and learn humility.
In the summer, we go out to sea
and enjoy surfing. We have a duty to
preserve this beautiful sea and pass it
on to the next generation.

하지만...
지금 바다는 그 어느 때보다 큰 위험에 처해 있습니다.
많은 원인들 중 독성물질을 지닌 플라스틱으로 인한
오염이 심각합니다. 지난 50년간 전 세계에서
생산된 플라스틱은 약 83억톤입니다.
이 중 63억톤이 폐기되고 단 9%만이 재활용 되었습니다.

But...
The sea is now in greater danger than ever.
Among the many causes, contamination
by plastics containing toxic substances is serious.
About 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic have been
produced worldwide in the past 50 years.
Of this, 6.3 billion tonnes were discarded
and only 9% were recycled.

그 중 일회용 플라스틱 생산이 전체의 40%를 차지하지만
평균 사용시간은 6개월, 썩는데도 500년 이상이 걸립니다.
일회용 플라스틱을 생산하지 않고 사용하지 않는 것이
정답입니다. 그리고 우리는 이미 생산된 일회용 플라스틱을
재활용하여 플라스틱의 생산을 줄여야 합니다.

Among them, single-use plastic production
accounts for 40% of the total, but the average
use time is 6 months and it takes
more than 500 years to decompose.
The answer is not to produce and use
single-use plastic. And we need to reduce the
production of plastic by recycling the single-use
plastic that has already been produced.

CAMPAIGN

저희는 프루아 고객님들과 함께 일회용 플라스틱
병뚜껑을 모으기 캠페인을 진행하였습니다.
예상을 훌쩍 넘은 4000명이 넘는 분들이
플라스틱 병뚜껑을 보내주셨습니다. 적극적인 참여에
저희도 놀랐고 다시 한 번 감사의 말씀을 드리고 싶습니다.

We conducted a campaign to collect disposable
plastic bottle caps with Purua customers.
More than 4,000 people sent plastic bottle caps,
far exceeding expectations. We were also
surprised by your active participation and
we would like to thank you again.
